Crown & Bridge 〰️
A dental crown is a tooth-shaped cap placed over a damaged, decayed, or weakened tooth to restore its shape, size, strength, and appearance. Crowns fully cover the visible part of a tooth and can be made from materials like porcelain, metal, or a combination of both. They protect the tooth from further damage while allowing normal chewing and speaking.
A dental bridge is a fixed dental restoration used to replace one or more missing teeth by “bridging” the gap between two healthy teeth or implants. It consists of artificial teeth (pontics) held in place by crowns on the adjacent natural teeth (abutments). Bridges restore a person’s smile, improve chewing and speech, and help maintain proper alignment of the remaining teeth to prevent shifting. Together, crowns and bridges are common solutions for restoring both function and aesthetics in the mouth.
